Country people versus City people

Mismo dia, mismo escenario, pero un look totalmente opuesto al mio. Outfit escogido por Raquel,una de mis mejores amigas y que vais a ver en adelante en muchas otras fotos. Los colores son muy sobrios pero el corte de la chaqueta, junto a los zapatos y el bolso es lo que le da fuerza al look.

Same day, same scenario, but a look completely opposite to mine. This is Rachel's outfit, one of my best friends and you're going to see her in many other pictures later on. The colors are very sober but the cut of the jacket, the shoes and  the bag is what gives strength to the look.

Cazando patos

Este es mi sombrero de "cazar patos". Me lo compré en New York en un mercadillo del Soho y cuando volví a Barcelona fue bautizado por un amigo como "el sombrero de ir a cazar patos" y así se le quedó. Creo que es más bien de verano, pero a veces me apetece tanto ponermelo que hago lo posible por llevarlo! Así que, el sábado pasado, decidí combinarlo con una falda nueva larga y mi cazadora de cuero.  Estas son unas de las fotos que me hice el sábado, mañana más y mejor!

This is my hat "to hunt ducks". I bought it in New York, in the Soho market, and when I returned to Barcelona, it was baptized by a friend, like 'the hat to hunt ducks". I think it's more for the summer, but sometimes I do whatever to wear it. So, last Saturday, I decided to combine it with a new long skirt, and my leather jacket. A couple of sundays ago I went with my friend Carlota to have a walk, and we took some really nice pictures, so I wanted to show you her outfit.

THE RITZ HOTEL

Este lunes pasado tuve la suerte, gracias a  mi amiga Carlota, de hacer una sesión de fotos en una de las suites del hotel Ritz de Barcelona, situado en el antiguo Palace Hotel. Solo entrar al vestíbulo del hotel me quedé maravillada del lujo y la elegancia que me rodeaba. La suite, situada en el primer piso, de 200m2 fue el hogar del pintor surrealista Salvador Dalí durante mucho tiempo y de aquí el nombre de la suite "Salvador Dalí". Lo que vais a ver a continuación es una selección de mi armario y el de mi amiga Carlota de prendas de noche. 

Last monday, thanks to my friend Carlota, I was lucky enough to make photo shoot in one of the suites of the Ritz Barcelona, where the old Palace Hotel used to be. As soon as I walked in the loby I became astonished by the luxury and elegance which surrounded me. The suite, located in the first floor, 200 sq meters in size, was once  home to surrealist paintor Salvador Dalí during his time in Barcelona, thus the suite's name, "Salvador Dalí". What you're about to see is a selection of mine and Carlota's wardrobe; featuring night outfits.

REPTILIA

Hoy ha sido un día muy largo. Me he pasado toda la tarde acabando de coser esta camiseta, que es un trabajo de clase. Supongo que con la primera foto veis un poco de que va el tema; me he inspirado en los reptiles, en como se camuflan y como mudan su piel por otra nueva. Teníamos que elaborar un concepto y expresarlo a partir de una camiseta blanca básica. Espero haber transmitido esa sensación!

Today has been a long day. I spent all afternoon working on this T-shirt as part of a class project. I guess  the first picture should give you an idea of the overall concept. I was inspired by reptiles, their ability to camouflage  and shed their  entire skin for a new one. We had to work out a concept and express it using a basic white T-shirt. I hope I was able to convey that feeling!

Hace una semana o así fui de rebajas a ver que veía y dí con este vestido rojo cereza en Topshop. Es bastante de entretiempo, así que he aprovechado este domingo que hacía calor para ponermelo.

A week or so ago I went to see sales and I found this Topshop dress in cherry red. It looks more for spring, so I though that this past hot Sunday, was the perfect day to wear it.
